Sofie’s puppies are 5 weeks old. They are sweet little pups and starting to be fun to play with too. They have discovered some toys and love playing keep away from each other. These puppies will go to their vet appointment next week at 6 weeks old. They will get their first puppy shots and final health check. Once they have been clear by our vet, they can start going home 8-3-24. Please make an appointment for pick up. We highly recommend you keep them on the Nuvet vitamins for optimum health throughout their life. All our adult dogs and puppies are on them. It’s less than 20 bucks a month.
Q&A:
What food are the puppies on now?
They are eating Royal Canin puppy medium dry.
How much food should I feed my puppy daily?
We feed them 1/2 cup 2 times a day. 7 am and 4 pm with warm water to keep it wet. You will gradually increase this as your puppy grows. I know some people will say that’s not enough and tell you to feed 3 times a day but if you over feed a husky puppy and overload its digestive tract it will have diarrhea. That’s a bad problem to have while you are potty training your new puppy.
Should I crate train my husky puppy?
Yes, we highly recommend it. Puppies chew and swallow things that could result in an emergency vet visit costing thousands of dollars and sometime death. Your new puppy will scream for a few nights but will love their crate as time goes on. Learn more about crate training.
Is my husky puppy up to date on shots and worming?
Yes, your puppy has been wormed with several different meds and has been given a parasite preventative. They are up to date on their puppy shots and a shot record is provided.
