your ready to pick out a puppy? There are many breeds out there to choose from but of all the breeds you have decided to buy a husky puppy. That’s wonderful because a husky is a great pet but have you done the research about this breed? Bama Huskies loves to place our beloved puppies in great homes. Having a litter of husky puppies around here brings a lot of joy and fun times to our home. These guys are cute and cuddly and usually a big ball of fur that’s full of energy running around the clock 24-7 they don’t seem to run out of gas. Yes they sleep and re-charge and then they are back to mischief all over again.
If you have decided to purchase a husky pup then be aware your in for quite a ride. Huskies have that wolf look to them that can be scary but they are the most gentle breed of dogs you could ever own. Here are some things you should think about before you get a husky puppy:

Yes some will bark a little bit if they see someone they don’t know, but some of ours will just howl a couple of times while our big male just quietly runs off and hides out of site. Definitely not your ideal guard dog!
Howling and barking is what they do best especially if left alone. Talking to you while you’re trying to watch your favorite tv show can get annoying after a while. Huskies are free spirited and very independent. They won’t always come to you when you call them which is why you must always have them on a leash if you take them out in public places. They can get lost or stolen while you’re trying to located them. They are born to run! If you don’t have a yard to let them run free and exercise you must be able to take them to a park, otherwise a husky puppy is not going to be a good fit for you.
Being a social dog huskies need to socialize with people or other animals because they are really pack dogs. If left alone for long periods of time they will get bored. Huskies need to be entertained. If you leave a bored husky alone for very long they become destructive demons. Everything in your house will be fair game. You will need a special room free of all the things you care about and want to keep in one piece.

Here is what your clothes will look like after playing with your husky dog. Take a good look it’s not for the faint of heart. This is also what your couch,setting chairs, and bed will look like too. You can brush them and give them baths but they still shed dog hair everywhere.
