Dog scammers online are nothing new but they are even more numerous during the Christmas season. Free sites that allow people to post dog ads are some of the worst but did you know Facebook allows them to operate pages? They also build small sites and use google ad words to advertise to rip off unsuspecting customers. Buying ads allow them to be on the first page above the fold instantly so they can drive people to their site. Some people get in such a rush to get a Christmas puppy they don’t see all the warning signs that could have tipped them off that they were about to part with their money with nothing to show for it.
Here is a prime example of a husky page that is just a scam using craigslist. https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/pet/d/husky-puppies-ready-to-leave/6376060790.html They are using one of our sires named Nick in this ad. Most of the time it’s easy to spot a scam. They try to ship the puppy for really cheap and won’t let you visit. They also advertise in your area but just moved across the country if you ask to visit the puppies. Most of these scammers have already named the puppies. They also use broken sentences and use strange lingo to describe things for example puppy comes with Akc approved vet certificates.(No such thing by the way). Or puppies come with all their shots and d-worming and you will get all the toys with the puppy. Young puppies get a set of shots every 3 weeks at age 6 weeks until they are around 16 weeks so unless they are much older they can’t already have all of their shots. If you are asked to pay with western union or money gram then it’s a scam.
We have such a high demand for our puppies that we have a waiting list. It’s not that long of a wait for a quality husky puppy from breeders who will be here for you from now on to give you advise about your puppy and who will back it up with a health guarantee. No good breeder is going to sell a husky puppy for 300.00. It costs way too much and we put a lot into all our dogs and puppies. I could only imagine the short cuts taken to be able to sell a husky puppy for 300.00. So be careful when buying a husky puppy online and look for the warning signs that it may be a scam. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is as the old saying goes.
