We are always trying to find new things around here to keep our huskies active and exposing them to new things. My wife brought home a new toy last night called a giggle ball. It makes funky sounds when it’s rolled around. I thought it would be fun to film them checking it out for the first time. I wasn’t sure if they would play with it or be scared of it because of the noise it makes. They actually ended up loving it a little too much because it caused fights among them on the play ground.
If your not too familiar with how a husky views high valued toys and other items it goes a little like this:
If I saw it first it’s mine.
If I played with it first it’s mine.
If I take it away from you it’s mine.
If you stopped playing with it it’s mine.
If it was yours first it was still mine all along.
Rylee pretty much took over the toy and at one point I locked her out of the playground so the others could play with it. She is really possessive when it comes to toys and food and nobody was ready o challenge her on it except Lexi. They even tried to fight through the fence over the toy at one point. Lexi took her place once I locked Rylee out of the play ground so the rest really didn’t get to play with it for a while. You can hear Amber in the background howling because she seen and heard the new toy. Amber has become fussy now that she has been bred and doesn’t get along with the others right now. All in all they had a pretty good time with the toy as long as I was supervising the activity. They all got a chance to play individually with the toy before the day was over.
