Our first fall litters of husky puppies are soon to come. Jordan’s been moved to her special kennel so we can keep her separated from the other dogs and makes it easier to keep a watchful eye on her. She has access to run the back kennel for most of the day by herself when all the other huskies are out playing on the yard. It has a deck to relax on and she can enjoy sitting in front of the fan or she can take a walk down the hallway that is 4 foot wide and 90 feet long.
She also enjoys visits from Nick the sire that is the daddy of her puppies. He is the only one she will let near her without growling at this time. Once she has puppies she won’t allow him to hang around either. He will be just fine with that since he never enjoys puppies anyway. Once she shows signs the puppies are coming we will move her indoors to actually whelp the puppies. We have a whelping facility that is climate controlled so she and the puppies will be more comfortable as we welcome them to their new world. Then she will go to a special kennel that is more private and made for puppies. They have an access door that is right on the ground and a small porch to play on once they become active and ready to go outside to do their business. Thought I would give a shout out to Nathan and his son as they came by today to check on the puppies and see the dogs. We enjoy customers dropping by and the dogs always love to see people too.
We will announce the birth of the puppies once we have some on our sales page. It may be tonight or a few days off, just can’t predict mother nature sometimes. Here is a pic of Jordan from earlier today.
