I shot a quick video of Nick our male Siberian husky playing with a ball today. Yes he is the dad of all those beautiful puppies we have right now. Nick is blowing his coat right now so he is not the most majestic dog to see. We brush him out daily and get a ton of fur. Our yard looks like we just skinned a sack of rabbits when we get done. In about another week he will go back to having a fluffy slick beautiful coat again. That is just how a long haired Siberian husky does and it is normal. Shorter haired huskies don’t look near as bad when they blow their coat but it’s all worth it to us as he is a beautiful dog with that long coat.
He is pretty clumsy trying to play with a ball and he has injured me a couple of times this year. One time I was leaning over looking at Jordan’s belly and he was running full speed and head butted me. I didn’t know what hit me for a few seconds. I seen him coming but thought he was going to zoom by me but that clumsy dog ran right into me. Once I got over that, which took about a week for the side of my head to stop being sore, he just about took my knee cap off. Again he was running around being crazy and was running past me wide open but hit the side of my knee as he blew past me. I had a limp for a couple of days. He is the only dangerous one we have but when he plays he gets careless sometimes so you really have to watch him and stay out of his way when he is acting goofy. Here is a video of him being goofy today. Jordan and Carly also got in on the fun. Jordan has been running and playing with the pack sometimes now that her puppies are coming up on 2 weeks old.
