We always look forward to the Discovery Channel every summer for Shark Week. This year they had a funny commercial where snuffy the seal (a rescue seal) was getting put back in the sea and along came a shark that ate it up. Funny and sad at the same time I guess since you wouldn’t have expected that outcome. But did you know that you can now get dogtv just for your dog? He probably isn’t interested in shark week or college football which is about to kick off in just about a week “Yea”. That makes my wife very happy (NOT). Well I know my wife and dogs care not. We have come a long way baby! Now you can not only ruin your kids with endless amounts of television shows, you can do that to your dog as well! Nothing like sitting the dog down in front of the tv and ignoring it while it gets entertained all by it’s self. That is the culture now days.
Anyway, dogtv plays images and sounds over the channel that is suppose to be appealing to your dog. My best guess is this would come in handy when you were away at work. Are you ready to fight with your dog over which channel your going to watch? Unfortunately you will have to pay to get dogtv for your dog as it is not free. Packages start at 9.99 for one month and go up to a year for only 69.99. Seriously is this something you would buy? I can’t see it myself but I do have more than one dog which I expect to entertain each other when I am not around to do so. If you have just one lonely dog then it may be a good thing. They claim it will entertain a dog left alone all day by its self and reinforce good behavior. I am not sure how unless they think your dog will watch it non-stop which I am sure it will not. My dogs get bored fairly easy. If you want to check it out click here
Apparently television is going to the dogs! I am just not ready to fight mine over who gets to watch their show. I survived 4 teenagers and I am done!
