Just a quick little update about what is going on this week at Bama Huskies Kennels. Amber is fat as a pig and bedding down most of the time. She has been fussy about everything from her food to deciding if she wants to go walking, or whether she wants to run around the yard. She is also being very protective of her bedding area. We move all our expecting moms to our whelping room about a week before we expect them to have their puppies. It has a cement floor with an outside run but safely away from all other dogs with a whelping bed that’s easy to clean up after all the puppies are born.. She can still socialize through the back run but they usually don’t like to be around other dogs during this time. Especially other females. Here is a quick little video of Amber. It won’t be too much longer before we have newborn husky puppies and we are excited.
