Hello everyone! We are excited around here this morning as well as worn out. I got to get some coffee down me before I can function today as I have a lot of things to do. Amber started whelping puppies at about 8 pm and the last one delivered at 2 am. We have a total of 5 puppies and they are all healthy and doing great. Amber is doing good too being a new mom and she went through the whelping without any complications. Her first puppy was kind of hard for it was turned around which is not uncommon but makes them a little more difficult to push out sometimes. We gave her a helping hand on that one. So I know you all been waiting for this moment for some time now so lets get to it. Amber had 4 females and one male puppy. The male is Black and white. The females are as follows, one chocolate colored, 2 grey and whites and one black and white. She really did have a variety of colors in this litter. They are all so beautiful and I can’t wait to get new pics up for you guys.
Right now Amber and puppies are resting and since it was a long night, I won’t stress her moving puppies around until later on today. I may only get some clips of them all with her today but I have some pics I took with my phone camera when they were just born. Note that it is just a few of them as they weren’t all born at the time I took the pics and being wet they lighten up once they dry and really look different.
Amber had torn her new mat before I noticed she was nervous and getting ready to have her puppies. Not a big deal since we replace them with a new rug once all the babies are born. Here is a video of the puppies moving in Amber’s stomach before she had them.
